Well, good news folks, Marmoset Toolbag 3 will have animation and global illumination support! OMG. How often I have wished that I could render actual animations in Marmoset Toolbag? The original Library Drop, released in April 2021, added over 100 materials and textures. Trying to render similar materials, especially reflection blurred metals in Lightwave has been a total pain with rather frustrating render times. Marmoset has released new sets of materials free to users of Toolbag, its real-time rendering software. Multiple transmission light bounces for transmissive objects, which gives accurate refraction and the possibility to manage materials like glass and liquids with ease. I used it for so many different cases, whenever I needed to get my PBR model rendered for a client or preview it before throwing it to UE4. Having physically based materials on my fingertips and completely in real time has been a killer feature. What does that mean in terms of rendering Multiple light bounces to trace for indirect specular and diffuse rays, which means higher accuracy.
